The Sudanese leader was accompanied by Foreign Affairs minister, Ali Al-Sadiq, and the Director of the General Intelligence Service, Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal.
Sudan has been at war since violent clashes broke out in the capital between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
According to the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR), the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) has almost doubled to at least 7.1 million people.
