Kampala: On Wednesday 3 April, 2024, Muslim Students from different institutions of higher learning gathered at the office of the National Chairman-NRM(ONC) in Kyambogo to interact with SPA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo aka Chief Muzzukulu and also receive their food packages as part of the ongoing Ramadan Charity drive that has been powered by the Embassy of United Arab Emirates in Uganda.
To enhance the drive that has already supported thousands from the Muslim communities, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Uganda, H.E. Abdalla Hassan, yesterday delivered another assortment with a variety of food items to ONC offices. (https://lakeforestgc.com)
The donation which included Sugar, Rice, Maize flour, and other food stuffs as a contribution towards improving the welfare of Muslims was received by Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, the manager at ONC.
Yesterday’s package is an addition to donation that the UAE embassy had already donated during the launch of the Charity drive on Sunday, March 31, an event that was attended by various Sheikhs, Imams, and Muslim leaders from Kampala and Wakiso.
While speaking to the students in the company of HE Abdallah Hassan, Hajjat Namyalo reminded them that as young people (Bazzukulu) they are the pillars of Islamic faith and that the bridge between the Muslims and government is incumbent upon the behavior of especially the young Muslims.
The UAE Ambassador thanked the Bazzukulu for observing the holly month of Ramadan and advised them to always have Allah at the forefront of all their endeavors. He promised that he will continue working with ONC to empower Bazzukulu in different ways including extending scholarships.
The Ambassador also appreciated President Museveni for fostering good relations with countries in Middle east which has seen over 200,000 Ugandans fully employed in United Arab Emirates alone.
After the interactions, Hajjati Namyalo later distributed Ramadan packages to over 1000 students to help them through the remaining days of Ramadan. She also reminded them that HE President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa will be on the ballot in 2026.

On a similar occasion, Hajjat Namyalo in the company of ONC administrator Dr Mariam Nakimuli visited their former School, Nabisunsa girls where they also donated food items to help the students observing the holy month of Ramadan.
The two were received by the deputy head teacher Hajjati Mastula Nambajjwe who commended Namyalo for remembering her roots and encouraged other old students to do the same.
Hajjati Namyalo Hadijah interacted with the students reminiscing on the old times while she studied there, she shared light moments with the students including singing the school’s anthem together.
