RCC Bamwine, Burora Transferred In Latest Reshuffle

According to Minister for Presidency, Milly Babalanda, Resident City Commissioner (RCC) for Masaka City, Fred Bamwine has been transferred to Nakaseke whereas Nakawa’s RCC, Anderson Burora has been transferred to Lubaga Division in the latest reshuffle.

Bamwine, previously RDC for Mukono district faces reshuffle amid the outraging machete-wielding men in the Greater Masaka which has claimed over 29 lives in a space of lessthan one month. This remains unclear whether it is connected to his reshuffle.

In response to the incidents in Masaka, Police confirmed that they had arrested 15 suspects in connection with the killings as security intensifies in the region.

Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson said; “most of the suspected killers stay within the communities.”

A joint security force of police, counter-terrorism personnel, military intelligence, Internal Security Organization (ISO), Special Forces Command, and experienced counter-insurgency officers are camped in Masaka to investigate the shocking murders.

Sources told this website that Museveni instructed the joint force to strengthen civilian intelligence-gathering structures; increase night patrols and ensure that military supports police to provide swift responses to reports of attacks.
