Celebrated singer Rema Namakula has invited her ex-lover and baby daddy Edirisa Musuuza aka Eddy Kenzo to her concert dubbed ‘Rema Live In Concert’, which will be held at Hotel Africana on Valentine’s Day February 14, 2020.

Gorgeous Rema made this daring invitation in a one-on-one interview with Spy Uganda, during which she talked about her love life with Dr Hamza Sebunya, her separation with Eddy Kenzo and why she has invited him for her concert, despite the fact that she dumped  for another man.

Here is what Rema said during the interview;

Spy Uganda: Tell us about your show. Why on Valentine’s Day?

Rema: My concert is called ‘Rema Namakula Live Concert 2020’ and it will be held on Valentine’s Day, at Hotel Africana. It’s on Valentine’s Day because I’m in love and I want to celebrate with people in love on that day. Rema is all about love. I preach love. Besides that, I last did a concert two years back so the time is right. I don’t have to rush with concerts. My growth as a musician has to take time, so I have  to prepare enough. My philosophy is what’s meant to happen will happen. I don’t force things. What is mine will be mine and what isn’t will not.

Spy Uganda: Did you invite Kenzo for the show?

Rema: Everyone is welcome to come to my show. Even Kenzo. I have no problem with him. He’s the father of my daughter. I’m okay with it.

Spy Uganda: Is it true you’re denying Kenzo an opportunity to see his daughter?

Rema: My daughter should not be part of this

Spy Uganda:Will Dr. Hamza Sebunya attend the concert?

Rema: Yes, he will be there in spirit and body.

Spy Uganda: Is it true you’re going back to school, if so when?

Rema: Oh yes! Education never ends. I shall tell when and what I am going to study at the right time.

Spy Uganda:  There are rumours that you’re expecting Sebunya’s baby, is it true?

Rema: (Laughs) I am not. At least not yet. But you will see that for yourself when that time comes.

Spy Uganda: Have you finally settled the debts and retrieved your car?

Rema: I can assure you that I have no debts and let whoever claims I have their debt come out and state it. I’m ready to pay it.

Spy Uganda: Did you sort the wrangles over the Seguku house with Kenzo? Did you return the land titles?
Rema:Kenzo is my friend and he trusted me with keeping his land titles for him. So I am keeping them for him and they are in good custody.

Spy Uganda: How do you balance your music career and  family life?

Rema:  I wanted someone who is not in the music industry. Someone who doesn’t through the same things I go through, somebody who will be there for me when I need them. That’s what makes it special. So after our introduction we talked about it and he agreed about the concert on Valentine’s Day. We also agreed about how I shall be handling my music career going forward, in line with our family.

Spy Uganda: What special thing should fans expect at your concert?

Rema: All I can tell you is that my fans should expect a surprise performance. This is going to be something big and exciting!

Spy Uganda: Why did you choose Africana, not Serena Hotel like last time?

Rema: Serena was booked out on Valentine’s Day so my management decided to take up Africana hotel, which is more spacious.

Spy Uganda: Is Bebe Cool welcome to the concert?

Rema: I don’t know if he will. I mean; he never comes to my concerts, so if he wants he will come, if he doesn’t I have problem with that.

Spy Uganda: We heard rumours that you and Danz Kumapesa had a thing going on; was it real?

Danz Kumapesa (RIP)

Rema:What! May his soul rest in peace. I swear upon the Almighty I had nothing going on with Danz Kumapesa. I’ve always heard those rumours going around but they are not true. I only met him at the Studio in Makindye. He used to jokingly call me ‘Mummy’, but there was nothing between us.

Spy Uganda: When do you hope to retire from music?

Rema: I’m going to sing until I have achieved my goals. One of them is being a successful farmer. So until then, I’m going to keep singing.

Spy Uganda: Do you have any advice for young ladies out there trying to earn a living like you?

Rema: State your goals. Know what you want and work with the right people.
