Kampala: A requiem mass has been held Tuesday April 23, 2019 for Dr Catherine Agaba, the IHK medic who was murdered and her body dumped in a septic tank.
Agaba’s body was over the weekend recovered by police stuffed in a septic tank at a house in Muyenga where she was renting, after she had been missing for over 9 days. On Tuesday, her family and friends held a requiem mass at Our Lady of Africa Church Mbuya, to pray for her soul. After the mass, Agaba’s body was transported to her ancestral home in Mabara district,  where she will be laid to rest.
Meanwhile, after the arrest of the suspected killer identified as Ronald Kenny Obangakene, a security guard, the police are still investigating the matter so as to get root the cause of Agaba’s murder.   However, prior to that, a USA based doctor identified as Andrew Ntambi, who was Agaba’s boyfriend, had been arrested to help with investigations. It is not yet clear whether he was directly involved in Agaba’s kidnap and murder but the police are still conducting investigations after which they will parade the suspects in court to face the charges.
