Ruparelia Group Refutes Claims Of COVID -19 At Royal Plaza

By Our Reporter

Tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia’s Group of Companies has refuted that there is an outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus at one of their buildings in Kampala.

This comes after a team of medics from the Ministry of Health stormed Royal Plaza, on Friday, from where they evacuated a Chinese lady who was suspected to be infected with COVID-19.

However, after conducting all the necessary medical tests of the Chinese lady, who is a tenant at the building,  the medics pronounced her as very healthy and free Coronavirus.

Crane Property Management Statement

To that effect, Prabhat Mishra, the General Manager Crane Property Services, has since released a statement about the matter which reads in part thus; “We would like to clarify that the social media stories making rounds about a confirmed case of COVID 19 in a building owned by the Ruparelia Group are totally false.

Crane Management Services Limited would like to clarify that the social media posts in question are full of falsehoods and relay a misconstrued set of facts.”

She adds that “While the lady reported therein is a tenant in our property at Royal Plaza returned to the country from China a couple of weeks ago, she duly observed the guidelines recommended by the Ministry of Health by subjecting herself to self-isolation. Since her return, she has never exhibited any signs or symptoms of the deadly Coronavirus.

To our shock and dismay, a section of the public descended into unfound suspicion and created an unnecessary scene at the building.”

A ministry of health team was quickly dispatched to the scene and tested the lady whose results returned negative.”

Mishra continues that. “We are the property management company for the Ruparelia Group of Companies undertake all the relevant precautionary measures recommended by the Ministry of Health.

We hereby clarify to the general public that there is no confirmed case of Coronavirus that has been reported from the properties managed by Crane Management Services Limited.
