Easter has not been good for the family of retired judge Justice Herbert Ntabgoba, who passed away on Saturday night, according to family members, at 84 years of age.
According to the judiciary, Justice Ntabgoba has “been in and out of the hospital since December 2019 when he suffered a stroke”.
According to family sources, he was born in 1939 in Kisoro district, western Uganda.
One of his daughters, Ms Justina Ntabgoba, said that the former administrative head of the High Court had been unwell for some time and that he had been in and out of the hospital lately.
Ntabgoba graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree at the University of East Africa in Tanzania in 1966.
During his prime times in 1973, Ntagoba was appointed Registrar General, a position he held till 1978.
After that he served as High Court judge between 1978-1981, and later served as Principal Judge till 2004 when he was succeeded by Justice James Ogoola.
He was born in the Western District of Kisoro in 1936.
