The staff and management of the Kawempe based UKI Company Ltd are mourning the untimely demise of their dear Director, Mr. Jinesh Majithia, who is a Co-proprietor and Director in charge of operations.
Jinesh passed away this morning at Nakasero Hospital, a close family member confirmed.
According to close family sources, Jinesh has been sick for some time and had since been admitted in Nairobi, but was flown back into the country last week to celebrate his son’s birthday.
Unfortunately, the sickness became more acute while in Uganda before he was rushed to Nakasero Hospital, where he breathed his last this morning.
Jinesh has been battling kidney related complications for over 15yrs, the source revealed.
“In fact,this forced his only wife Fauzia to donate to him one of her kidneys in order to save his life, about 10 years ago,” source further divulged.
“Remember years back he flew to India with his wife Fauzia who donated to him one of her kidneys to save his life when he was extremely ill. Currently his wife has one kidney since then,” one of his former employees revealed on condition of anonymity told this reporter.
As we file this story now, the body is still at Nakasero Hospital awaiting further preparations.
Jinesh owned UKI with his younger brother Andy Majithia which was started by their late father who passed away many ago before they took over from him. More details to follow. RIP
