Mbarara: A renown radio presenter and former RDC for Lyantonde district Sulaiman Tiguragara Matojo Ssalongo has today 1st December 2020 passed on at Mulago hospital.
Matojo who has been working with Crooze FM succumbed to COVID-19, according to sources. Tiguragara is a veteran journalist and talk show host who was a household name in the 90s on the radio.

The news of Tiguragura’s death was also confirmed by Minister for Gender & Social Development, Frank Tumwebaze who posted thus, ”SAD to learn about the death of Haj. Suleiman Tiguragara Matojo former RDC-Lyantonde & a great pioneering voice of radio broadcasting in Uganda. As student activists at @MUST in the late 90s, Matojo would host us on @radiowestug to express our views. May God comfort his family!” Frank Tumwebaze posted on Twitter.
Further sources revealed that Tiguragara was admitted at Mulago hospital yesterday after he collapsed from his office on Friday 27, Nov.2020.

Tiguragara was a Publicist Ankole Cultural Trust, Coordinator NRM Journalists Network, worked with Radio Uganda in 1980 in Western Uganda where he was a news broadcaster, producer and his most favourite programs were Africa Special, a replica of BBC Focus on Africa.
