Senior Journalists; Kagenyi, Ssegawa Eat Big In Museveni’s Latest RDC Reshuffles

HE. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today appointed two senior journalists; Mr. Luuka Kagenyi as Deputy RDC Manafwa district and Mr. Michael Ssegawa as RDC Jinja South Division.

Kagenyi also a politician in previous elections contested against Robert Kasolo for Ikiiki County in Budaka district in the NRM primaries something that seemingly attracted Museveni to consider him for this role.

According to records, Kagenyi attended Bat Valley primary school, Buganda Road primary school, Kibuli SSS and Kyambogo University.

On there other hand, Michael Ssegawa a  celebrated journalist who is now preparing for Jinja RDC’ office has formerly worked at Daily Monitor as features editor before he resigned and started an online news site www.watchdoguganda.com.

Ssegawa at a time of the appointment has been serving as Mukono Municipality Councilor a seat he won as an independent candidate defeating NUP candidate in previous elections.

Museveni today’s afternoon announced newly appointed, transferred and retained RDC’s in the country.

Via his Twitter handle, Museveni noted; “I hereby inform the Country that By virtue of Authority given to the President by Article 99 (1) and 203 (1) of the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, I hereby appoint the following RDCs, DRDCs.”
