The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretary General Justine Lumumba Kasule has appealed to the youth in Uganda to know the history of our country, because it propels everyone into loving and protecting the achievements of our forefathers, which is patriotism.
Lumumba made these remarks while closing a patriotism youth camp organized by the National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps in Kasambya constituency, Mubende district.
She lectured thousands of youth who had gathered for the camp on what the country expects from them.
“We shouldn’t be reminded to love our country; it should rather be something we freely feel proud to do. That’s why I commend the Patriotism Secretariat for the excellent work they are doing in teaching youth the history of our country, because it is proper for all Ugandans to know it.” Lumumba said.
The Secretary General also thanked the residents of Kasambya constituency for overwhelmingly voting NRM members in the village local council elections and urged them to continue supporting the Party in power and president Yoweri Museveni as they share on the National Cake.Â
