Kampala: The Speke Resort Munyonyo, famously known for its beautiful tropical gardens, towering palm trees, and stunning ‘rainforest’ along with a lakeside setting that sets the perfect landscape, yesterday hosted massive cocktail party for Kampala top wedding planners an event that was organized by Ms. Sheena Ruparelia, who heads the group’s Hotel empire.
Ms. Ruparelia revealed to TheSpy Uganda reporter that the event will now be held quarterly and lectured her visitors on the key changing trends in the industry, in line with coronavirus guidelines among others.
“We meet for a get together with wedding planners and show them all the Speke Group Hotels packages and wedding promotions, “Ms. Ruparelia said, adding that planning for a wedding especially in the changing dynamics can tend to be hard especially if someone is to balance it with a full time job or social commitments.
Ms.Ruparelia an expert in the hotel business recommended that hiring a wedding planner is a better alternative, reasoning that, the option allows you to delegate those more time-consuming responsibilities to a professional who can schedule appointments, deal with service providers and all you will need to do is show up and make the decisions.
“An interactive hotel partner is important to make one of the most important days of your life perfect. It’s important for all partners in the wedding Industry to understand each other which is why Speke Group values its relationship with partners in the industry” she added.
Ms,Ruparelia revealed that Speke Resort Munyonyo, organize bespoke weddings and If you decide to get married at the resort, their onsite wedding planners can take care of all the arrangements including, accommodation, flowers, food, music, venues, video, photographers, guest entertainment and much more.
“You are spoilt for choice on your wedding day dinner at Speke Resort Munyonyo and Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort. The choices of dinner options range from Continental, Indian, live counters, after party enhancements, African buffet to canapes. Sit down with our chefs and plan which options best suit your needs on the needs” she added.

At the resort, hotel’s dedicated banquet team also caters for wedding anniversaries, birthday parties, stag and hen parties and pretty much more. Nothing is too much for them to handle.
