“It is not the first time the colleagues in opposition are attempting at Uniting, why they have failed, why they keep failing and why they will continue failing is that they don’t unite around issues, they unite around the sentiments of rivalry against an individual called President Museveni,” ICT Minister Frank Tumwebaze said.
Tumwebaze added that because the opposition has a sentimental unifying factor Called Museveni, they now lock horns against themselves, the issue now becomes ‘I want also to occupy the seat not what we have agreed’.
He said the opposition has always failed even when they have international allies, the main reason is every one of them wanted to be in the seat.
“They no longer have politics of issues rather politics of me, the individual that alone makes them even weaker every day,” Tumwebaze Explained.
Frank’s comments come a few days after Gen. Mugisha Muntu exited FDC party that has for long posed a threat against the NRM Government.
Gen. Muntu’s departure to form a new political party currently in the names of the ‘New formation’has destabilized FDC after he moved with some of the strong leaders.
