Kampala, Uganda: The police in Kampala raided several bars and night clubs in Kabalagala on Saturday night from  where they arrested numerous  Shisha smokers who included a South Sudanese minister and a European diplomat.
The arrested who numbered over 15 include Simon Doup, the Minister for Rural Development in South Sudan along side several other South Sudanese, Europeans, Asians and some Ugandans.
They were netted after Police stormed Kampala Forest bar in Muyenga and De-Posh bar in Kabalagala, from where they were found and netted red-handed smoking Shisha. However, the police vowed to raid bars in Makindye and other Kampala suburbs to arrest more Shisha smokers.
It should be noted that Shisha was outlawed by the anti-Tobacco Act 2015, which prohibits the sale and consumption of all forms of tobacco and its products in public places,thus, all those caught violating the law are liable for prosecution.
