The incident came after Senteza and the team were transferring Kyagulanyi’s Ghetto TV journalist Ashraf Kasirye from Masaka hospital to Kampala after being shot by police in Lwengo where Kyagulanyi was canvassing for votes.
According to Kyagulanyi, as the team reached in Busega, a Kampala suburb situated few kilometers from city centre, a group of police and military officers blocked the road to Kampala using a police patrol car despite Ashraf’s oxygen supported life that needed urgent medical attention.

Briefing his team shortly at Lubaga hospital after the death of Frank, Hon Kyagulanyi who was immersed in tears noted, “Francis was run over by a military police patrol truck Number H4DF 2382 which had blocked us in Busega as we were taking comrade Kasirye Ashraf for emergency medical attention in Rubaga hospital.”
He added, “May your life never perish in vain brother. Rest in peace. A very sad day!”
In the same vein, a couple of journalists affiliated to both local and urban media houses have been brutalized in Lwengo as they covered police’s dubious acts against Kyagulanyi’s supporters. Among the journalists that are currently nursing wounds in various hospitals include NBS TV’s Daniel Lutaaya, NTV’s Ali Mivule among others who are affiliated to Kyagulanyi’s media camp.
