The two segments of the FUFA big league is in a tight race with teams tightly racing for the promotion to the Premier league next season.
The group leader of Rwenzori group Nyamityobora FC seems to have landed into safe hands as they have managed to scoop 42 points in the 19 games played 6 points clear of second placed Kiira United.
The second place race is widely open as five teams are fighting for the same position with not more than 4 games left to play.
The Elgon group is the toughest group as all the top six teams are fighting for the first position. Ndejje University leads the table with 33 points with Kamuli Park sitting in the 6th position 6 points behind the first place with not more than 4 games to play.
In the relegation zone, six teams are all fighting for the place above the red zone, Vura FC seems to have already given up on the race as they have only managed 16 points in the 19 games played.
Agnes Mugena the general manager of Bukedea TC FC says they will never give up until the race is over.
“With these remaining games to play I can’t say we have given up and moreover we are in a good position with good points, we are not fighting for the relegation because the points we have are enough to retain us. I strongly believe that next season is a tough one with all the teams getting prepared for the league,” She said
This is one of the toughest seasons in the Big league ever with all teams showing the potential and the ability to play.
