The Rolex Festival Is Back With a Bang, Be Part Or Be No Where This Aug!

The Kampala Rolex Festival which has been held twice so far in August, 2016 and 2017 respectively is back and the good news is that it will be hosted at the same usual venue-The Uganda Museum grounds cum August 19th.

The 3rd edition of Kampala Rolex festival has been organized by the Rolex initiative with partnership from Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities in conjunction with the tourism sector and corporate world to popularize this signature menu and celebrate the food culture in Uganda.

During the 3rd Season of Kampala Rolex Festival, a number of activities have been lined up including street activations.

According to the organizers, the event will run under the theme; ‘Street smart’ for a period of 3 months under different abstract phases.”

The Kampala Rolex Festival is intended to celebrate the local street delicacy and is bestowed to become one of the signature events on the tourism calendar.

According to Inid Mirembe alias ‘Rolex Queen’, CEO Rolex Initiative, who is the brain behind, the delicacy is being used as a unifying factor to all Ugandan food which is to be used to represent the country across borders and on the international scene.

While addressing Journalists, Mirembe clearly stated that Kampala Rolex Festival is not only meant to be a day out event, but is full of other targets.

“The Rolex Festival seeks to grow food tourism in Uganda as a key driver in the Tourism sector, support the SME sector through business education and creation of awareness of their products and also popularize the Rolex on the world map as Uganda’s very own fast and street food,” said Mirembe.

The organizers also promised their fans that they have lined up live and exciting performances from Cinderela Sanyu, Vinka, Fik Fameika, Sleek Stuart, Roger and dancer Eddy Wizzy among others.
