Thx22 Foundation Joins Hands With Benda Foundation To Combat HIV/AIDs

Thx22 Foundation, the charitable arm of 22bet, proudly partnered with Benda Foundation to support a charity match themed “United We Play, United We Fight HIV.” The event, held on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, aimed to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and support individuals living with HIV in commemoration of World AIDS Day.

The charity football match had the Benda Foundation team play against the HIV-positive Football Team. The event was more than just a football match; it was a platform to foster unity, compassion, and understanding. By bringing together people from all walks of life, the match emphasized the importance of solidarity in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Thx22 Foundation provided financial support towards the treatment of HIV positives.

By supporting this event, we hope to contribute to the national effort to combat HIV/AIDS and improve the lives of those affected by the virus,” said Collins Bongomin – Head of Marketing – 22bet.

Ykee Benda, a renowned Ugandan artist, and brand ambassador for 22bet, played a pivotal role in organizing the event through his Benda Foundation. His commitment to social causes, particularly HIV/AIDS awareness, has made a significant impact on the community.

“Benda Foundation together with the HIV Positives Football Team have come together to send a message to fellow youth that you can live a healthy life and chase your dream as an HIV positive person. If you are negative, abstain or use condoms and our call and message to families and friends of persons living with HIV is to please support them and not stigmatize them but encourage them to adhere to medication,” added Wycliffe Tugume aka Ykee Benda.

HIV Positive Group was started by Wright Freedom after he lost his girlfriend to HIV.

“My objective was to bring on other youths to help me in spreading a message about living a healthy life with HIV. I urge all my fellow youths to test and know your status and in case you are positive to immediately get on treatment and for those that are negative to abstain or use condoms and be faithful to one partner” – Wright Freedom,” said team leader and founder HIV Positives Football Club.

Through this partnership, Thx22 Foundation, Benda Foundation, and the HIV positives team have demonstrated their dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of individuals living with HIV/AIDS. By raising awareness, promoting empathy, and providing tangible support, they are working towards a future free from the stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV.
