Gulu, Uganda – March 31, 2025: A tragic road accident in Gulu has claimed the life of General Salim Saleh’s most trusted lead convoy driver. The fatal crash occurred on Monday morning near the residence of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Secretary General, Richard Todwong.
According to initial reports, John Osinde, one of Saleh’s most trusted drivers who had acquired a new Police patrol vehicle to add on Saleh’s fleet lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree, causing severe damage to the car.The wreckage of the vehicle indicated the impact was fatal.
Fortunately, General Salim Saleh, who was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident, is safe. Sources indicate that burial arrangements for the deceased driver are currently underway, with further details expected to emerge soon.
