Police in Kampala Metropolitan Area have confirmed that two south Sudanese business men were robbed and shot dead at Arua Park along Ben Kiwanuka Street on Wed.
The dead are Mohammed Abdullah, 30, and Ibrahim Bhakit all nationals of South Sudan who have been carrying their businesses between two countries.
They were attacked in their room at Juba Hotel around Arua Park in Kampala City on Wednesday evening by armed thugs who shot at them after robbing them huge sums of money yet to disclosed.
According to Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman, Luke Owoyesigyire revealed that police has so far arrested three people in connection with the murder and robbery of the deceased.
“We have managed to recover a pistol with some rounds of ammunition bullets which was used by the said killers registered under number UG PSOT1102-06A011,belonging to Saracen security company” he said.
It has been established that two thugs had connived with a security guard of the hotel to identify the room where the two business men were residing.
The guard also helped them with the pistol which they used to shoot the two when they refused to surrender the money.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to city mortuary for postmortem report as the investigations are underway.
Owoyesigyire said that the arrested will be charged with murder and aggravated robbery.
