They say when the going gets tough, only the tough get going!
That is the philosophy youthful tycoon Rajiv Ruparelia, son to Kampala money magnet Dr Sudhir Ruparelia is practicing these days.
Our Spy can reveal that, despite having a fleet of swanky rides at home, Rajiv has resorted to riding a Boda-boda (Okada), as a way of beating the mammoth jam on most of Kampala roads these days, mainly caused by the 7pm COVID-19 pandemic curfew.
Ever since President Yoweri Museveni lifted the ban on the driving of private cars, roads around Kampala and its suburbs have seen an upsurge in traffic and since the only solution for Uganda’s heavy traffic jam is a motorcycle, Rajiv has since resorted to riding one.
Our ever alert Spy snapped the youthful money bags on Tuesday morning riding from Kololo areas all the way to Twed Tower along Nakasero, near Fairway Hotel to attend a Court of Appeal ruling, in which his dad Dr.Sudhir Ruparelia was the respondent.
BoU, which was appellant in the case has been ordered to pay shs397B to Sudhir after they lost the appeal this Tuesday morning. We wouldn’t be far away from the truth if we suggested that the Ruparelia family could sooner be UGX 397b richer, courtesy of BoU!
Like they say, the one who has will added unto and the one who has not, even the little will be taken from them!
