Kampala: The decision to prevent boda bodas from accessing the city centre has been rescinded-TheSpy Uganda reports
On Saturday, KCCA released a statement stating that bodaboda operators would mainly operate in the city suburbs as the government moves to create free zones.
However on Monday 27th, July 2020, Police said this would not be enforced because government had no demarcated sign posts in the places bodabodas are not supposed to access.
Police say the rule will be put into effect once demarcations and clear guidelines have been put in place.
“For now, bodabodas are free to access all the places they would wish as was before the coronavirus lockdown and are permitted to resume carrying passengers” Enanga said.
