Uganda Airlines has received a brand new Ugandan-made Kayoola bus which will be transporting staff on time as one of its plans of boosting effective services to its clients.
The first of its kind on the African continent, the Kayoola solar bus relies on lithium-ion batteries to power an electric motor that is coupled to a 2-speed pneumatic shift transmission.
Receiving the bus from the Executive Chairman of Kiira Motors (makers of Kayoola bus), Prof. Sandy Stevens Tickodri-Togboa, Uganda Airlines Chief Executive Officer, Jennifer Bamuturaki noted that the purchase of electric bus marks a journey of running sustainable operations.
”Our CEO, Ms Jennifer Bamuturaki today received the Kayoola Bus from Hon. Prof. Sandy Stevens Tickodri-Togboa, the Executive Chairman of Kiira Motors to support our operations. The new electric bus marks a journey of running sustainable operations. Thank you,” said Bamuturaki.
