Kampala: The Uganda’s cumulative total confirmed cases have risen to 972 after Ministry of health has confirmed 16 new cases from results tests done on 03 July 2020.

Among the new infections include 11 truck drivers that include 9 who arrived via Malaba, 1 via Kerwa PoE in Yumbe District and 1 via Elegu.
Others are 5 contacts that include 4 from Amuru and 1 from Namisindwa

COVID-19 samples tested from Points of Entry yesterday were 2,993 while samples from alerts and contacts were 2,140 making 5,133 total samples tested.

In the same vein, 42 foreign truck drivers who tested positive for COVID-19 at border points of entry and their entry into the country was not permitted

This means Uganda’s active cases on admission are 205 including 173 who are Ugandans, 25 foreigners and 7 refugees.
