BUL football club knocked the Bukedea based side Blacks Power out of the Stanbic Bank Uganda Cup on Thursday on a 5-1 aggregate to become the first team to qualify for the round of 16 following a 3-1 win in the return leg at Kyabazinga Stadium, Bugembe.

Joseph Ssemujju scored the first for the hosts in the 20th minute to make it 1-0 and 3-0 on aggregate.

Three minutes later, the same player had a chance to find his second of the game but he missed a golden opportunity before Simon Peter Oketch converted his chance two minutes later to make it 2-0 and 4-0 on aggregate.

At the half an hour mark, Ojok missed a close-range tap in the area which would have stretched the tally for the hosts and half time ended 2-0.

BUL made a double substitution bringing on Ibrahim Mugulusi and Denis Okot to replace Peter Onzima and Oketch respectively in the 46th minute.

The visitors changed the style in search of an early consolation dominating the ball in the middle of the park but BUL’s defense proved impenetrable until they later regained possession.

Robert Mukongotya replaced injured Douglas Bithum while Ssemujju paved the way for Anwar Ntege in the 65th minute before the hosts made a final substitute ten minutes later with Charles Sempa replacing captain Fredson Gwoto.

Blacks Power only goal of consolation was netted by Michael Siwu before Substitute Mukongotya sealed the victory with a third of the game to end it 5-1 on Aggregate in favor of BUL.
