Uganda is keen to open new horizons for military cooperation with Egypt, said Lieutenant General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, commander of UPDF Land Forces.
Kainerugaba made the statement during a meeting with Egypt’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Osama Askar in Egypt.
Kainerugaba praised the efforts of Egypt and its Armed Forces to support security and stability in Africa.
The meeting tackled issues of mutual concern regarding military cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the armed forces of both countries, Abdel-Hafez said.
Askar said Egypt appreciates the historical ties binding the two countries and its Armed Forces is keen to enhance cooperation and strategic partnership with Uganda in various fields.
