After terminating his contract with Latvia’s Valmiera, the Ugandan young forward has completed his move to the Petroleum club after agreeing on personal terms with the clubs.
Kakooza has been one of Uganda’s top talents in recent years. The 20-year-old was the top scorer of the 2021 U20 African Cup of Nations after scoring five goals, guiding the Carnes to a historic silver medal in their first-ever appearance in the competition. Moreover, has also represented Uganda’s senior team in five games.
After signing the contracts with the Ugandan youngster, ENPPI have requested Kakooza’s International Transfer Certificate in order to be able to feature for the club.
Kakooza has been ENPPI’s fourth signing in the January transfer window after bringing Montakheb El-Suez’ Bassem Adel, El-Dakhleya’s Reda El-Said, and Amr Marei to Petrosport.
Under the guidance of Tala’at Youssef, ENPPI seek to improve their sixteenth place in the Egyptian Premier League, as they fight against their first relegation since getting promoted in 2002.
