Uganda’s COVID-19 Cases Rise To 1025, 17 Foreign Truckers Test Positive

Kampala: Uganda’s cumulative COVID-19 cases have reached 1025 after Ministry of Health confirmed 12 new cases from tests done on 11 July 2020.

Among the new infections include 7 truck drivers and among these include 5 entered Uganda via Malaba, 2 via Mirama Hills and Elegu boarder points.

Other infections are 5 Alerts and contacts that include 2 from Tororo, 2 from Lira, and 1 from Cyanika.

At the boarder points test, 17 foreign truck drivers tested positive for COVID-19 and their entry into the country was not permitted

As of July 11, Uganda has 972 total Recoveries and these Include both Ugandans and Foreigners.
