Brief Background About NBS TV
The story of Next Media Services started with the founding of NBS Television with broadcasts commencing on June 16, 2008, when it was registered and got its license, owning just one transmitter and headquartered at PAN AFRICAN House next to Kampala Kasino, and later relocated to Media Plaza in Kamwokya, a Kampala Suburb where they later shifted from to Next Media Park, Plot 13, Summit View Road, Naguru.
The founding of the television heralded the launch of sister companies that include; NBS Sport, Salam Television, Sanyuka Prime, Next Radio, Nile Post, Next Com, Next Production Limited, Afro Mobile and HillCom.
The flagship station is known for its focus on politics, hence “The Political Command Centre” slogan. The station has one of the biggest political talk shows in the country, Frontline which airs every Thursday night and brings together political leaders from different political parties and Barometer, the Luganda equivalent which airs every Tuesday night.
NBS also has a series of business, movies, sports, youth and entertainment shows.
