The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) is set to release the 2022 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) results today, February 9, 2023.
The above was confirmed on Wednesday by the State Minister for Higher Education, John Chrysostom Muyingo who said the exams will be released by the Minister of Education, Hon. Janet Kataha Museveni at 11am at State House, Nakasero in Kampala.
This will be the second batch of the national examinations to be released after releasing the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results two weeks ago.
A total of 349,455 candidates from 3,703 examination centers, registered to write the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) Examinations last year.
Of the total number of candidates, 175,923 representing 50.3% were male candidates whereas 173,522 representing 49.7% were female candidates.
Statistics shared by UNEB indicate that 114,200 students, representing 32.7% of the total number of candidates, were funded under the Universal Secondary Education (USE) program.
According to statistics, a total of 235,245 representing 77.3% of the total number of candidates who registered for UCE last year, were from the Non-USE schools.
UNEB indicated that only 50 candidates who were inmates at Luzira Upper Prison wrote the UCE examination last year.
In addition, UNEB data indicated that there were 519 of the total candidature were learners with special needs.
