UNRA Officially Opens Kyebando Interchange Flyover To Public Use

Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) has announced the opening of multibillion Kyebando Interchange Flyover to the general public in abid to curb congestion along Kampala Northern bypass.

“Dear, Kampala City road users, Herein is an announcement. UNRA and MOTA-ENGIL would like to send out a message to the general public, regarding the road construction of Capacity Improvement of the Kampala Northern Bypass,” announced UNRA In a statement.

TheSpy Uganda has since established that this multi billion project was co-funded by the Government of Uganda and the European Union.

UNRA’s Statement 

“The Contractor informs the General Public that from today 31-05-2021 onwards Kyebando Interchange Flyover will be opened to public use as well as all at-grade slip roads,” adds UNRA’s statement.

UNRA further says, this opening will ease traffic congestion at this flyover and will be soon improved by opening of the remaining dual carriageway system along the Kampala Northern Bypass.

“We wish to highlight the this remains an active work site and therefore caution road users to respect the existing signage and obey to all traffic legislation,” says UNRA.

“We appeal for your understanding, care and ATTENTION when driving in these areas. We apologise for the inconvenience. We are working together for a better Uganda. Thank you,” UNRA’s statement reads.
