Malaba Youth Development Association (MYDA) earned their second win of the season after shocking Onduparaka 3-2 at the Aba Bet Green Light Stadium, Arua on Tuesday, 20th April 2021 in the Star-Times Uganda Premier League.
MYDA came from behind two times to stun the hosts and securing all three points away from home on matchday 19 of the 2020/21 league season.
Moses Okot slotted home from the spot in the 17th minute to give the hosts the lead and Jamal Malish were on target for the caterpillars in the 46th minute.
And the goals that raised MYDA to victory were scored by dangerman Erick Mutebi with a brace both goals from penalties and an unfortunate own goal from goalkeeper Tonny Kyamera to inspire MYDA’s win.
MYDA played the final 13 minutes of the game with a man less following the sending off of Brandy Lojum.
The flying eagles’ Mutebi was named the pilsner man of the match.
This was MYDA’s second win of the season as the Eastern Uganda based side accumulates 9 points from 19 matches but remains second from bottom.
Meanwhile, Police walloped the relegation zone Kitara 4-1 at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
The corps goals were scored by Ben Ocen (brace) in the 3rd and 5th minute, Frank Tumwesigye in the 19th minute and Mahmood Hassan in the 36th while Patrick Kusemererwa scored the consolation for Kitara in the 53rd minute.
Elsewhere, Vipers shared points with Wakiso Giants in a goalless stalemate at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende as Express FC fell to Bright Stars 2-1 away from home.
Meanwhile, BUL overcame the army side UPDF 4-3 at home as Kyetume eased past Busoga United in a 1-0 Victory.
