UPL: Express, Vipers FC Lock Horns At Wankulukuku As League Hits Up!

Kampala: As StarTimes Uganda Premier league hits up days after its resumption, most teams seem not to be ready to be relegated basing on the tactics shown by yesterday’s ‘deadly’ battle that saw Express football locking horns with the defending Champions Vipers SC to make 1-1 draw at Mutesa 2 Wankulukuku stadium.

Vipers came into the game with a chance to go top of Uganda Premier League and all they needed was a pick up of three points following a convincing display over the weekend which saw them ruthlessly dispatch topflight debutantes MYDA FC 7-0 at the St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

This game leveled the matches played by all sixteen clubs in the top flight that have shoot to five as of yesterday.

Taking you through the entire game, the red eagles were the first to find the net in the 57th minute through skipper Godfrey Lwesibawa but it was quickly cancelled by Karim Watambara for the Venoms a minute later.

Both sides tried to put up an entertaining display but points were shared at the end of the game and now Vipers stand second on the table with 11 points as Express seat in 6th with 9 points.

Vipers will host the table leaders UPDF at St Mary’s Kitende in the next league game while Express will face off with the tax collectors, URA away from home at the weekend..see you!
