UPL: KCCA, URA Win As Villa ‘Succumbs’ To UPDF’s Deadly Shots

The Kasasiro boys picked up all the three points passed the struggling Kitara FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in a 4-0.

A brace from man of the match, Peter Magambo, and a goal each from Bright Anukani and Kigozi Samson is what all KCCA FC needed to scoop the three points from Kitara FC.

Magambo slotted home the opener for KCCA in the 11th minute with a brilliant header after a dominant first 10 minutes.

Sadat Anaku, who was returning and got his first call-up in the first team after clearing license demands, saw his effort flew wide from the edge of the box in the 29th minute.

Four minutes to the break, Dennis Monday went into the referees’ book for a dangerous foul on Ashraf Mugume.

Coach Mike Mutebi made changes as the second half started with Kigozi replacing Keziron Kizito while Charles Lwnaga replaced Brian Aheebwa.

Kitara custodians’ blander saw Bright Anukani make no mistake but to double KCCA’s lead with a comfortable tap-in in the 50th minute. Three minutes later, they extended their lead when Magambo scored his second, third for the club with a brilliant Ronald Musana’s assist.

Kigozi fiercely shot home KCCA’s fourth goal in the 69th minute with Anukani providing a lethal assist. Sadat Anaku was limped off in the 83rd minute seemingly injured for Samuel Kato.

Meanwhile, the tax collectors managed to collect all three points from Busoga United at the Arena of Visions, Luweero a hard-fought encounter that ended 1-0 in favor of URA.

Moses Sseruyidde’s goal was all URA needed to get the victory and securing third place on the table with 21 points just three points behind table leaders Vipers and two a point behind Express.

And finally, Sports Club Villa fell to the army side UPDF at Bombo Military Barracks grounds 1-0 thanks to Ezekiel Kantende, who scored the only goal of the game in the 74th minute and was also awarded man of the match.
