SC Villa lost their second match of the Star Times Uganda Premier League campaign falling to Wakiso Giants 2-1 away from home on Friday.

The joggos came to this game having only lost to table leaders BUL FC and also with one draw and 13 points just a point behind BUL however, a loss drops them to third place behind Wakiso Giants.
On-form Purple Sharks skipper Ibrahim Kasule netted the opener just 16 minutes into the game before Shariph Kimbowa doubled the host’s lead towards the interval.

Sheif Batte pulled one back for the Joggos at an hour mark. Both sides kept on pressing for more goals but nothing came out and 2-1 it ended in favour of Wakiso Giants. Lawrence Bukenya was named Pilsner man of the match. (https://locals.md)

Elsewhere, the defending champions Vipers secured their second victory of the campaign after edging newcomers Blacks Power 1-0 at Akiibua Memorial Stadium, Lira.

The Bukedea based side put up a deserved fight but Ashraf Mandela’s 75th minute goal handed the Venoms a hard earned three points. Abdul Karim Watambala was awarded man of the match.
The League returns on Saturday with Onduparaka hosting Jinja SS at the green light stadium.
