Vipers came into this game well aware that the red eagles had won their match on Tuesday and were at the top so Kajoba’s boys needed to win and reclaim their top spot.
Half time ended in a goalless stalemate but the Venoms had made efforts on goal that yielded no fruits. Dangerman Yunus Ssentamu had pulled off an acrobatic volley in the 20th minute but went wide.

Paul Mucurezi curled in a free kick in the 30th minute but Ssentamu again tapped it wide before he again powered ahead over the bar in the 35th minute from a free-kick again by Mucurezi.
Two minutes later Orit got a chance to put the hosts in the lead but shot with the weak foot to help the keeper save comfortably.
After the break, the venoms came back focussed and hungry for goals. It took 15minutes into the second half for Cesar Manzoki to break the deadlock with a brilliant tap-in.

However, Jamil Kalisa sealed the victory for the Venoms after slotting home the second in the dying minutes to make it 2-0 at Full time.
