John Byamukama was the hero of the day for the visitors, Express FC as he netted the only goal of the game to hand the red eagles all three points at St Mary’s Kitende on Friday.

Byamukama slotted home an absolute beauty in the 64th minute from the 18-yard box to put the red eagles in the lead which turned out to be the winner.
As the game turned more physical, four players were booked for the Red Eagles, Charles Musiige and Murushid Jjuko in the first half while Issa Lumu and Mathias Muwanga were also warned in the second half whereas Cesar Manzoki was shown a yellow card for the Venoms.

Paul Mucurezi had an opportunity to put the Venoms up in the 28th minute but he failed to convert a brilliant delivery from Disan Galiwango.
Vipers continued exerting pressure on the Red Eagles with the other two half-chances falling on Karim Watambala and Mucurezi before the recess.

The Venoms returned to the second half putting the game on a high tempo and eight minutes into the second half, they were awarded a freekick at the edge of the box but Mucurezi curled it into the wall.
Viper’s head coach Fred Kajoba made a double substitution in the 63rd minute introducing Milton Kaliisa and Richard Basangwa replacing Disan Galiwango and Yunus Ssentamu before the visitors broke the deadlock a minute later.

The Venoms kept on demanding but express proved impenetrable in the defense to collect all three points at the end of the 90 minutes of regulation.
Elsewhere, Kyetume FC came twice from behind to secure maximum points from Wakiso Giants.
The purple sharks netted the opener in the 15th minute courtesy of Viane Sekajugo before Robert Ssentongo converts in the equaliser for Kyetume from the spot in the 20th minute.

Two minutes later, Ivan Bogere put the visitors in the lead again to end the first half 2-1 in favour of the visitors.
Twelve minutes into the second half, Moses Feni Ali levelled matters for the hosts before Sharif Ssaka Scored the winner for Kyetume in the 63rd minute.
