Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) football club collected their first victory of the new 2022/23 Star Times Uganda Premier League campaign on Tuesday after overcoming Busoga United 4-0 at Kakindu Stadium, Jinja.
The tax collectors got a well deserved win following a bad start to the season where they had only collected two points in three matches.
Talisman Living Kabon found the back of the net in the 35th minute for a well curled free kick after George Ssenkaba was fouled. Two minutes later, the former KCCA striker Derrick Nsibambi doubled the lead for the tax collectors.
Ssenkaba scored the third towards the break thanks to Kabon’s perfect cross into the goal area before Kabon completed his brace in the 58th minute and he was voted the pilsner man of the match award winner.
In another Star Times Uganda Premier League encounter between Express FC and Gadaffi FC, the match was halted due to the heavy down pour.
The League returns on Wednesday 19th October with Solitlo Bright Stars hosting the Army side UPDF FC.
