URA FC ended a run of six draws in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League with a 2-0 win away to Bright Stars on Sunday afternoon.
At a time when the team was riding low on confidence especially in front of goal, the Tax Collectors went into the lead through Robert Amunuk’s first goal of the season, on 29 minutes.
13 minutes to the final whistle, Sam Simbwa’s side scored the second goal as Charles Sempa slotted in past Hamuza Muwonge in the Stars’ goal.
In the last minutes, it was more of URA preserving their caution as Fred Kajoba’s side threw everything at them.
In the end, URA held on to all three points which elevate them into 8th on the log with 17 points. They are still unbeaten since the start of the current campaign having won 3 and drawn 8 of their last 11 games.
For Bright Stars, they remain 15th with 19 points from their first 12 fixtures.
In the Jinja Derby, Kirinya Jinja SS and Bul FC played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Mighty Arena.
