Luggya-Lwasi, who was a formidable force among Uganda’s media fraternity,
breathes no more.
Spy Uganda learnt of the unfortunate news of Mr.Luggya’s demise on Thursday afternoon from his family members, who revealed that he died as a result of longtime battle with cancer. He passed away at Mengo hospital where he has been bedridden for several days.
Luggya has been known for training several journalists in Uganda and abroad. He was the proprietor of International Institute of business and Media studies (IIBMS), an institution that has trained several journalists in media Industry.
He was also the vice-chairperson of the Uganda Martyrs’ shrine Namugongo Museum construction committee.
We have been informed by the grieving family members that burial arrangements will be communicated to the public later. Rip.Â
