It is an academic tradition in many institutions of higher learning to list students on the Vice Chancellor’s list and the academic giants get recognized for their outstanding performance.
It’s on this note that Victoria University hosted 44 most vibrant students that accessed this prestigious honor in the previous semester to a special dinner at La Paroni restaurant in Kampala. On the occasion last Saturday evening 6th April 2019, students from various disciplines were awarded with certificates of achievement in recognition of their academic excellence.
In his statement the vice chancellor Victoria University Associate Prof Krishna N. Sharma reminded the students that education is the way to transform the mind set of our youths and asked them to grow in every individual ability and skills to succeed in life.
“As a university, emphasis on experiential learning is not accidental but rather cautious since the world tomorrow shall require dynamic and flexible citizens ready to solve challenges of the day case by case”.
Krishna further reflected on the university motto “Come prepared to learn, Leave prepared to succeed” urging students to aim higher in both academic and social spheres of life.
This celebration hosted by the vice chancellor’s office in honor of the best performing students with GPA of 4.4 and above points.
In attendance were Deans of various Faculties and the academic registrar who managed to encourage students to pursue academic with seriousness and keep their candle lighting.
