Kampala: All is set for the Victoria university women in leadership E- Conference that is happening live on Facebook( Victoria University Kampala) on Friday 18 September 2020 from 11:am-1:pm featuring, Ms Sheena Ruparelia, the Director of Ruparelia Group of companies and the newly elected President for Uganda Law Society, Ms Pheona Nabasa Wall, NBS TV’s Karitas Karisimbi among others who are set to headline a women development talk show.

The talk show running under the theme ”Enhancing Women Capabilities towards development in Uganda” will be streaming live on the Victoria University Kampala Facebook Page.
Sheena Ruparelia is the second born to East Africa’s richest businessman Sudhir Ruparelia. Her hunger for success has earned her recognition as an untamable achiever and able defender of the Ruparelia family empire and legacy.

Sheena is active in several foundation-related projects for children which include the construction of homes for child-led families, health awareness projects and provision of clean water.
Touched by the plight of disadvantaged children in a rural village, Sheena has been instrumental in changing the lives of the orphans she has met in several orphanages to improve their livelihoods.

Just like her sibling Meera (first born) and Rajiv, Sheena was tutored into the challenging world of business by her wealthy father, a pragmatic believer in empowering his children to thrive with independent business minds as opposed to spoon-feeding them off with his expansive conglomerates.
While Ms Pheona Nabasa Wall is extensively experienced in legal risk management, regulatory compliance, board affairs and stakeholder relations management. She is a resource in both private and public enterprises with thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in public relations, company secretarial practice, corporate governance, labor, contract and commercial transactions. Pheona combines a solid corporate legal background with a well-developed understanding of both commercial and operational drivers of business.

She is a governance professional and a public relations practitioner with over 15 years’ experience, currently serving as the Senior Manager Legal Services National Water and Sewerage Corporation, a position she has held since June 2014.
She is also the Chairperson of the Legal Aid and Pro-Bono Project of the Uganda Law Society and has served on various boards including Water FC, Future Investments Group, East African Young Water Professionals, Uganda Law Society, Public Relations Association of Uganda, among others.
Wall is also an advocate with a Bachelor’s’ Degree in Law, a Diploma in Legal Practice and an MBA in Management.

She won the Hague Institute for Innovations in Law’s “2018 Talent to Watch” award and is a New Vision 40 under 40 finalist for 2018.
Other panellists for the talk show include Ms Katusabe Ssemwezi the Academic Registrar Victoria University, Ms Malaa Kivila Odera the Founder & C.E.O Sylmax Consult. The talk show will be moderated by Ms Esther Nakitto a student at Victoria University and Founder/C.E.O RDN Journey.
