Kampala: Victoria University a leading prestigious private university in Uganda is set to hold his 4th graduation in September 2019

According to reports from Management, the graduation ceremony which will be held under the theme “Developing Agents of Change” is to take place on 06, September 2019 at Victoria Ball room, Speke Resort Munyonyo and thereafter graduands will be hosted at a luncheon at the lake side.

City businessman and entrepreneur Patrick Bitature will be a commencement speaker at a function which will also be graced by the council members, academic staff, directors, parents, partners and student alumni.

According to the University Vice Chancellor Associate Professor Krishna Sharma, graduands looking forward to graduate on the day are all ready to hit the job markets after gaining knowledge from classroom, exposure through internships and enough preparation by the experienced lecturers and experts.
“We have prepared them with good knowledge in the classroom, good skills, practices and good exposure through internships from best placements which fit their programs”

He added” We have also did a special workshop for our graduands called total graduate where we taught them such skills like how to write cv, how to dress up, how to appear in the interview, mingling with people, how to crack a deal, stress management at work and how to be spiritual, so we prepared them for all of this”

Former Guild President and one of Graduands Peggy Nabunya said “It’s been such a pool of opportunities, networking and so many learning experiences. I’ve grown academically but also in other aspects of life like leadership as am the former guild president.”

Nabunya further commended Victoria University for ensuring that its students are exposed and allowing open door policy where students easily access the administration.
“The difference with Victoria University is that it provides great internship opportunities, positions us in such a way that we’re exposed to so many experiences that prepare us for life after education. Also we have easy access to all our administrators and lecturers. They’re so welcoming, caring and they put us first”

The former guild president also noted that she is now ready to join her career after completing her course.
“I am so ready for my career. Aside from academics, the university provides us with workshops that further prepare us for our careers. We are taught how to present ourselves, think on our toes and just to be excellent”

“I advise fellow graduands to go out and not forget all that they’ve learnt from VU. For prospective students, I’d want them to know that they’d be making the right decision to join VU. I’d also advise them to capitalize fully on all the opportunities VU provides because they are so worth it”.

The university will also use the same occasion to recognize the foundation students who have undergone one year course at the university.
