Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine on Friday visited the survivors of Bududa mudslides.

Bobi Wine was accompanied by fellow MPs including Gerald Karuhanga, Angelina Osege, Gafa Mbwatekamwa, Paul Mwiru, Theodore Sekikubo, Winnie Kiiza, Sylvia Akello, and John Baptist Nambeshe among others.

The team consoled those who lost their loved ones and donated mattresses, blankets and soap among other items.

Following last week’s heavy downpour in the area when River Suume burst its banks forcing a large mass of water, and rolling boulders down the slopes in Bukalasi, Bududa.

The landslides destroyed and washed over 139 households and 43 lives have been lost.

Meanwhile, on their way to Bududa, the MPs met Stella Nyanzi who immediately declared her love to Ntugamo MP Gerald Karuhanga.

Stella Nyanzi and the leaders of the People Power Movement were all travelling to the same destination.

According to her social media post, Stella Nyanzi said she was delighted to see Bobi Wine and MP Karuhanga.

“I shook the hands of Karuhanga whom I find very sexy! I pulled the hand of Paul Mwiru to test the permanent damage. It was great to catch up with Winnie Kizza who hugged me as a sister in the struggle. I did a little dance with Mbwa Te Kamwa,” Stella Nyanzi said.

She applauded the MPs for being concerned about the well being of survivors of the landslides and floods.

“It was good; very good to meet and greet other Ugandans concerned about the well being of the survivors of the landslides and floods in Uganda. People Power!,” Nyanzi posted.

Bududa is known among the top disaster prone areas in the country but calls from government for people to relocate to other areas have always fallen on deaf ears.

In 2010, over 350 people died in this area and hundreds of households were buried.

The same happened in 2011 and 2012.
