‘We Shoot To Kill, Not Break Legs’-LDU Commander Warns Uganda

By Spy Uganda

A senior Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) officer has warned Ugandans that the Local Defence Unit (LDU) does not aim at breaking legs but shoots to kill.

Colonel Felix Abucha, who is the deputy commander of the LDUs, is seen in a video doing rounds on social media saying; “We shall take your life. That’s the order, people should know that. We’ve started. You’ve heard and you’ve seen on TV. For us we shoot to kill. We aren’t breaking people’s legs. We shoot to kill.”

However, the video comes shortly after an operative identified  as Robert Muyaga, who was  attached to the LDU  in Masaka, shot dead a boda-boda rider and a pregnant woman.

According to the police,  Muyaga suspected  his wife Jackline Nagasha of allegedly cheating on him with boda-boda rider identified as Robert Musasizi, who is also LC1 Chairman  of Rutovu B cell, Kigenyi Parish, in Lwengo District.

However, Muyaga was later hunted down by the UPDF and shot dead  after reportedly exchanging gunfire with the squad that had gone to arrest him.

He was smoked out of LG Guest House and Pub, a  lodge in Masaka, where he had hidden after committing the crime.
