Surviving Goodlyfe singer Douglas Mayanja aka Weasel is wanted by detectives at Kizungu Police Post over allegations that he destroyed studio property worth millions of shillings on top of stealing computer hard disks.
Weasel faces arrest for malicious damage after a city producer only identified as Genius Gody filed a case on Sunday vide SD REF 06/15/06/2020 at Kizungu Police, accusing him of invading his studio, also in Kizungu Zone, Makindye Division and destroying property worth over Shs7m.
Producer Genius Gody told the police that Weasel invaded the studio with two of his bag-boys only identified as Messiah and Cyrus, with whom he destroyed the studio property and stole some.
Talking to TheSpy Uganda, Producer Gody said that; “It was on Sunday at around 6:30am the day after his birthday party when all this happened. He was with some other 2 boys known as Messiah and Cyrus. He ordered these guys to just unplug everything, saying that I’m poor and that he can pay for all the damaged machines on top buying the premises where I rent space for the studio.”
He added that “After vandalizing my machines, they went out with the CPU to their premises (Goodlyfe Mansion). They brought it back later and dropped it at my gate when they had removed the hard drives. Weasel also refused to return my Sound Card which he had borrowed. So after all this happened I went and reported to Kizungu Police Post.
I tried talking to his friends like Chagga but they all failed to help me out. So I decided to go ahead with the law authorities and I hope they will handle these guys so that I can get back my machines which they destroyed.”

However, our efforts to reach Weasel for a comment about the matter were futile because he couldn’t be reached on his known phone numbers.
