Last Saturday, all roads led to Kampala Parents’ School in Naguru along Lugogo by-pass where pupils show cased rare talents on their Sports day as they closed their 1st term. Students participated in various sports activities with rare skills that left their parents/Guardians and entire school management yearning for more.
The most spectacular and outstanding bit was the parade where pupils, clad in their different respective class uniforms, entertained parents in different folks and songs, each class show casing clearly different diverse cultures and traditions, but carefully blended and finally brought together under one roof-Kampala Parents School. The pupils matched in line with music band playing in the background.
Beginning from as low as baby Class also known as ‘baby Ndunya’ nowedays, the pupils matched around the grounds, to the excitement of parents.
“The matching is really unique and shows that the school appreciates the blend of academics and co-curricular activities,” said one of the parents present at the show.
According to Dr. Sudhir Ruparia,the proprietor and Chairman of the school, the event allows parents to interact and get to know one another. It also builds the child’s whole being, mentally, physically and socially. “Education is not only given on black board or class room, a child needs to grow in totality” Sudhir said on phone when contacted for a comment.
A teacher at the school said the sports day is one of the most popular events at the school which showcases its unique culture and state of the art facilities such as library, swimming pool and spacious classes. Pupils engaged in other activities such as swimming and athletics.
Kampala Parents’ School is an International private mixed primary school located on Lugogo by-pass in Nakawa Division, Kampala, owned by Tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia. It’s been leading in academic excellence in Primary leaving examinations for decades now, and still counting….
It boasts of over 3000 pupils, with 130 well trained teachers and over 150 non-teaching staff members. Sudhir also owns Kampala International School-Uganda (KISU) in Bukoto Kampala.
