HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has cautioned his bazukulu against falling in love at the first sight or anywhere.
Museveni says now days people just fall in love while walking at the bus stop and never even stop to conduct due deligence on the object o their affection.
“You’re walking in a bus park and see somebody and fall in love… love at first sight? What if she’s a cannibal..!” said Museveni.
“You dont know the background of this person. What if they are witchdoctors in their family… if they are night dancers? You can see some risks in some of these concepts these people (foreigners) bring,” he added.
According to Uganda’s jaaja, partaking in affairs that connote intimacy publicly is inappropriate.
The veteran leader revealed that he has never kissed his wife Janet Kataaha Museveni publicly in their years of marriage. He says doing such would deprive an African man of his native identity and thus erode the respect accorded.
“If I kissed my wife in public, I would lose all the elections in Uganda. Because Africans don’t show what is private in public. If you want to kiss, you know where the address for kissing is,” he said.
